Correction and Retraction Policy
Correction and Retraction Policy
PANYONARA: Journal of English Education is committed to maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the scholarly record. The journal will address errors and concerns affecting published articles in a transparent and responsible manner.
Corrections
A correction may be issued when an error is identified in a published article and the error affects the accuracy, clarity, attribution, or interpretation of the publication but does not invalidate its principal findings or conclusions.
Requests for correction may be submitted by authors, readers, editors, or other concerned parties. The editorial team will assess the nature and significance of the reported error and determine the appropriate action. Published corrections will be linked to the original article whenever technically possible.
Retractions
A retraction may be considered when there is clear evidence that a published article is unreliable because of major errors, fabricated or falsified data, plagiarism, unethical research practices, or other serious violations of publication ethics.
Retraction may also be considered when research findings have been published elsewhere without appropriate disclosure or when other circumstances seriously undermine the integrity of the scholarly record.
The journal will investigate concerns fairly, seek relevant explanations from the authors, and consider available evidence before making a decision. Retractions will be clearly identified, explained, and linked to the original publication. The original article will ordinarily remain accessible with a prominent retraction notice to preserve the scholarly record, unless legal or other exceptional circumstances require a different approach.
Editorial Responsibility
Decisions concerning corrections and retractions will be made by the Editor-in-Chief or a designated independent editor in accordance with the seriousness of the case and the journal’s publication ethics procedures.
The journal will follow recognized publication ethics guidance, including applicable recommendations from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Editorial action will be proportionate to the evidence and intended to protect the integrity of scholarly communication.
