Reporting Allegations
Authors, reviewers, readers, and other individuals may report suspected misconduct to the editorial office through the journal’s official contact channel. Reports should provide a clear description of the concern and supporting information or evidence where available.
Assessment and Investigation
Upon receiving an allegation, the editorial team will conduct an initial assessment to determine whether the concern falls within the journal’s responsibilities and whether further action is warranted.
Where appropriate, the journal may request clarification or supporting documentation from the authors, consult independent experts, and contact the relevant research institution or other competent authority. The journal will not presume misconduct solely on the basis of an unverified allegation.
Confidentiality and Fairness
The journal will handle allegations as confidentially as reasonably possible, protect the identities of individuals involved where appropriate, and provide relevant parties with a fair opportunity to respond. The journal will seek to avoid conflicts of interest during the assessment and investigation.
Editorial Actions
Depending on the evidence and the stage of publication, possible actions include rejecting a manuscript, requesting corrections or additional documentation, issuing a correction or retraction, notifying the relevant institution or publisher, or taking other measures consistent with the journal’s policies and applicable ethical guidance.
All decisions will be proportionate to the evidence and the seriousness of the concern. The journal will seek to protect the scholarly record while respecting the rights and responsibilities of all parties involved.
PANYONARA: Journal of English Education supports responsible research practices and encourages authors, editors, and reviewers to follow recognized standards of research and publication ethics, including applicable guidance from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
