Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of using the Nearpod platform in improving the reading skills of tenth-grade students at Madrasah Aliyah Darul Hikmah Jepara amid the challenges of Arabic language learning, which remains dominated by traditional teacher-centered methods and limited integration of interactive technology. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental one-group pre-test and post-test design. The sample consisted of 37 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through a 20-item achievement test and analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk test, paired sample t-test, and N-Gain analysis through IBM SPSS Statistics. The findings revealed a statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores at a significance level of less than 0.001, with an average N-Gain score of 0.6209 categorized as moderate. These findings indicate that Nearpod contributes to enhancing learning interaction and students’ comprehension of Arabic texts through interactive digital learning, thereby demonstrating its effectiveness as an instructional medium for developing Arabic reading skills.
