Abstract

Child grooming is a form of child sexual exploitation characterized by manipulative and gradual tactics; this phenomenon has become increasingly concerning due to children's growing access to digital devices and social media, which expands the scope for perpetrators while limiting parental supervision. This study aims to critically examine the construct of psychological resilience and the trauma healing process among victims of child grooming. It employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach following PRISMA guidelines to analyze literature published between 2021 and 2026 a total of 35. Data sources include scientific journal articles indexed in Scopus and SINTA, developmental psychology texts, and reports from relevant international organizations such as UNICEF and WHO, utilizing the keywords: child grooming, psychological resilience, trauma healing, and early childhood. The findings indicate that psychological resilience in early-childhood victims of child grooming is neither inherent nor static; rather, it is a dynamic capacity shaped by the interaction of internal protective factors (emotional regulation, secure attachment, self-efficacy) and external ones (family support, an inclusive school environment, professional intervention). Critical findings demonstrate that Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) combined with play therapy and caregiver involvement is significantly effective in the trauma healing process, particularly when interventions commence before the "golden age" of development concludes.
