This research method uses descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques using literature studies, namely looking for related data in books, journals, articles, and others. The results of this research are that libraries have played an important role in supporting language internationalisation through literacy and digitalisation programs.
Abstract

This study aims to analyse the optimisation of Library Visit Week as a strategy to increase the literacy interest of students at UIN Madura. The background of this study stems from the low number of student visits to the library and the lack of participation in literacy activities, which has an impact on the weak academic culture and quality of student scientific work. This study uses a qualitative approach and case study design by exploring data through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies involving librarians, students, and library managers. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that Library Visit Week, through various strategies such as book fairs, creative competitions, the selection of reading ambassadors, and the awarding of prizes to active academics, plays a significant role in increasing access to reading materials, broadening students' horizons, and fostering intrinsic and extrinsic motivation to read and write. In addition, this programme succeeded in creating a collective literacy habitus that strengthened the academic atmosphere and reputation of the institution. Thus, Library Visit Week is not only a means of promoting services but also a pedagogical instrument that encourages students to transform from consumers of information into producers of knowledge. The implications of this research emphasise the importance of library innovation in designing literacy programmes that are relevant to the needs of the younger generation and developments in the digital era, while also strengthening the position of higher education institutions as centres of knowledge production.

Keywords: literacy, library, Library Visit Week, students, UIN Madura.
Fauziah, Arinal HaqMustajab
