The study uses a qualitative approach with a string of phenomena. The phenomenological approach seeks to understand human life events within the framework of thoughts and behaviors as perceived or interpreted by the individuals themselves. The subject of this study was "DS", a victim of domestic violence. The data analysis technique used in this study is data reduction. The result show that women's decisions to remain viable are based on considerations for the future of children, social and cultural pressures, and an understanding of religious values. Despite negative effects such as mental, physical health disorders, and a reduction in economic well-being, the informant still chooses to stay married. These findings show the importance of family support, early sexual education, and psychological assistance for women in the face of an unhealthy marriage. Social and religious backgrounds also influence early marriage which varies among communities.</p> Farida Ulfa Lutfiyah Qusyairi, Putri Adinda, Khairul Rijal, Moh. This research aims to examine in depth the role of Islamic boarding schools in dealing with the tendency of homosexual behavior among students, by viewing it as a form of social maladjustment triggered by the limitations of opposite-sex interaction, lack of affection, and psychosocial pressure. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with the case study method, data is obtained through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation in several Islamic boarding schools that strictly implement gender segregation. Research results show that homosexual behavior in Islamic boarding schools is often situational and develops as a form of emotional escape from the environment that curbs the psychological needs of students. Same-sex relationships are rooted in the need for affection, security, and acceptance that are not available in the family system or Islamic boarding school institutions. The dominant response of Islamic boarding schools in the form of sanctions has not touched the root of the problem, so a new approach that is more holistic and empathetic is needed. This finding emphasizes the importance of integrating sexuality education based on Islamic values, psychosocial assistance, and reformulating the role of Islamic boarding school caregivers as emotional mentors. This research recommends the transformation of the coaching system in Islamic boarding schools to be more adaptive to the psychosocial dynamics of teenagers, so that Islamic boarding schools are not only a moral fortress, but also a spiritually and emotionally healthy growth space.</p> Atin ismatus zehro, Zairotul Hijroti , Tholiatur Rizkiyah ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.uinmadura.ac.id/index.php/sociale/article/view/21146 Mon, 29 Sep 2025 05:07:23 +0700 Increasing the Self-Actualization of Social Studies Students in Higher Education through Participation in Intra-Campus Organizations https://ejournal.uinmadura.ac.id/index.php/sociale/article/view/21195 <p>Intra-campus student organizations serve as vital platforms for the development of students’ social, leadership, and personal competencies. This study aims to examine the level of participation among students of the Social Sciences (IPS) Study Program at IAIN Madura in intra-campus organizations and analyze its relationship with their self-actualization process. The research employed a descriptive quantitative method, utilizing a structured questionnaire distributed to students across various academic years. Data collected were analyzed descriptively to determine participation rates and to identify factors influencing involvement. The findings reveal that the level of participation remains relatively low, primarily due to academic workload, fatigue from multiple activities, and the absence of organizations that align with students’ interests. Nonetheless, students who actively participate in organizations exhibit stronger soft skills, particularly in communication, leadership, and time management. This study underscores the necessity of institutional support to enhance student participation and recommends the integration of academic and non-academic activities to foster optimal self-actualization.</p> Anisa Imamia, Awalia Dwi Ramadhani , Vardin Malika, Nuril Aulia, Firdi Hidayah Norrahman ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.uinmadura.ac.id/index.php/sociale/article/view/21195 Mon, 29 Sep 2025 05:35:39 +0700 The Effectiveness of Quizizz as a Learning Medium on Student Learning Outcomes in Social Studies https://ejournal.uinmadura.ac.id/index.php/sociale/article/view/21118 <p>Quizizz is an interactive and engaging social studies learning platform because it is equipped with gamification features such as avatars, themes, memes, and music that can increase student involvement when taking quizzes. Motivation refers to an energy that can arouse and guide a person's actions. Learning motivation is a very important thing because the thoughts in a person will provide encouragement to learn in order to achieve the goals of learning. This study aims to improve learning motivation in the subject of Social Studies class VIII-B at MTsN 1 Pamekasan. The study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with two cycles. Each cycle has 2 meetings. The subjects of the study were 30 students. The average value of cycle I was 63.17%, which is still classified as moderate motivation, and the average value of cycle II was 93%, which is classified as very high motivation. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the TGT model has succeeded in achieving the goals that the researcher had expected, namely to increase learning motivation in Social Studies subjects using the TG model. The TGT learning model is expected to be an option for teachers in the future to increase student learning motivation. With this, the application of the TGT learning model can increase learning motivation in Social Studies subjects, each cycle increases and can be declared successful.</p> Ina Wahyuni Ningsih ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.uinmadura.ac.id/index.php/sociale/article/view/20812 Mon, 29 Sep 2025 11:03:31 +0700 The Effect of Puzzle Games on Improving Students' Learning Outcomes in the Subject of Social Studies https://ejournal.uinmadura.ac.id/index.php/sociale/article/view/19893 <p>Puzzles are educational games designed to train critical thinking skills, problem solving, and improve students' memory. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation to analyze how integrated business strategies contributed to revenue growth and community impact. The findings reveal four main strategies: (1) product diversification that expanded consumer choices, (2) competitive yet affordable pricing aligned with rural purchasing power, (3) distribution through local agents and inter-regency networks, and (4) promotion that combined word-of-mouth with emerging digital platforms such as WhatsApp and Instagram. These strategies resulted in a significant increase in monthly revenue from IDR 2.25 million to IDR 14 million, alongside expanded production capacity and employment opportunities. Beyond economic benefits, the case highlights the social dimensions of resilient entrepreneurship, particularly the role of family labor, local networks, and digital adaptation in sustaining rural livelihoods. This research contributes to the literature on MSME strategy and social studies by demonstrating how household-based businesses can integrate traditional practices with digital marketing to strengthen competitiveness and community resilience in rural settings.</p> Edy Yanto Gunawan, Ahmad Imam Khairi ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.uinmadura.ac.id/index.php/sociale/article/view/20464 Mon, 29 Sep 2025 14:36:14 +0700 Rural Community Stigma Towards Higher Education for Women https://ejournal.uinmadura.ac.id/index.php/sociale/article/view/21295 <p>Factors This study examines the views of the Poteran Village community toward women pursuing higher education, with an emphasis on the social and cultural aspects that influence these views. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, the study aimed to understand the meanings and experiences of women facing social pressures arising from their desire to pursue higher education. The research methods employed were in-depth interviews and participant observation. Interviews were conducted with 10 key informants, including community leaders, religious leaders, highly educated women, and parents. Observations were conducted to examine social and cultural interactions relevant to the research issue. The results of this study indicate a negative stigma against women who choose to pursue higher education, driven by patriarchal culture, traditional values, and economic circumstances. Women are often perceived as more suited to domestic roles, making higher education less important. However, there has been a shift in community perceptions driven by modernization, the success of educated women, and support from family and community leaders. Although this change is not yet widespread, awareness of the importance of higher education for women is growing as part of efforts to achieve gender equality and social&nbsp;progress.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> Mariya Ulfah, A Fatikhul Amin Abdullah ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejournal.uinmadura.ac.id/index.php/sociale/article/view/21295 Mon, 29 Sep 2025 15:08:36 +0700 The Influence of Ranked Mode on Toxic Player Behavior in Mobile Legends Among Teenagers in Hemlet West 2, Sentol Village, Pamekasan https://ejournal.uinmadura.ac.id/index.php/sociale/article/view/19999 <p>Online games have so far had varying impacts on the development of young people in Indonesia. Some of them experience positive effects, but many are also exposed to negative consequences. One of the most prominent negative effects is the tendency to exhibit toxic behavior. The focus of this study is to examine the influence of ranked mode on toxic behavior among Mobile Legends players, particularly among adolescents. This research is a quantitative study using a regression type, with simple linear regression analysis as the technique. Referring to the nature of quantitative research, data collection in this study was conducted through questionnaires distributed to respondents selected using purposive sampling. After data processing, the average score for ranked mode was found to be 95.45, while the average score for toxic behavior was 102.86. Both of these values are considered high, as they are close to the maximum values (107 and 119, respectively). The influence of ranked mode on toxic behavior is evident from the tvalue of 5.755, which is greater than the ttable value of 2.021. This is also supported by a significance value of 0.000, which is less than 0.005.</p> Sofwan S.
