<p>The study of the Qur'an has undergone significant development, extending into socio-cultural aspects that involve the community as both subject and object. This article examines a religious ritual in the form of a <em>sampan</em> making ceremony in the hamlet of Sarotak, Poteran Village, Talango District, Sumenep Regency. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with Edmund Husserl's phenomenological analysis. This study found that, first, the origins of the <em>salametan</em> <em>sampan</em> tradition are unknown, as this tradition is part of the cultural heritage passed down by ancestors. Second, there are two stages in the <em>salametan</em> ritual: the first stage is called “<em>makabin</em> <em>sampan</em>” and the second stage is called “<em>matoron</em> <em>sampan</em>.” During both rituals, selected surahs from the Qur'an are recited. Surah an-Nūr, al-Qalam, al-Waqi'ah, Yasin, and ar-Raḥmān are the most popular surahs. Third, the meaning of reciting selected surahs in the <em>salametan</em> tradition is essentially as a means of striving for the sampan that will be used to seek sustenance to obtain blessings and safety. Phenomenological reduction analysis explains that the tradition of <em>salametan</em> <em>sampan</em> making is a dynamic religious practice as a form of spiritual action. Its eidetic reduction is to give thanks and ask for blessings, while also creating a sense of community and solidarity among the Sarotak people. Its transcendental reduction states that the <em>salametan</em> <em>sampan </em>is an effort to get closer to God, ask for safety, and hope for His blessing.</p>MasodiDelta Yaumin Nahri

<p>This article analyzes the concept of maslahat in the thought of Gus Ulil Abshar Abdalla and critiques its application in the context of environmental exploitation in Raja Ampat through a <em>maqā</em><em>ṣid</em> interpretation approach to ecological verses. Environmental damage in the region is often legitimized through narratives of development and public welfare, thus raising normative problems regarding the ethical limits of the use of the concept of maslahat in Islamic public policy. This research uses a qualitative method based on literature study with content analysis techniques on Gus Ulil's thought discourse, thematic analysis of Qur'anic verses containing ecological messages and the <em>maqā</em><em>ṣid</em> <em>al-syarĭ‘ah</em> framework as a normative evaluation instrument. The results show that Gus Ulil's flexible and rational maslahat approach has an important contribution in responding to contemporary social dynamics, but still tends to be anthropocentric and has not fully integrated ecological ethics as the main normative goal. This article emphasizes that environmental protection (<em>ḥifẓ</em> <em>al-bĭ’ah</em>) must be placed as a non-negotiable normative limit in every claim of development maslahat. Thus, this study offers a reconstruction of the concept of maslahat based on ecological <em>maqā</em><em>ṣid</em> as a theoretical contribution to strengthening contemporary Islamic discourse on environmental sustainability and intergenerational justice.</p>Fika Khoirina A. <p>يشير القرآن الكريم إلى معنى السلطة الإلهية بأساليب متعددة، تجمع بين البيان العقدي، والبناء اللغوي، والسياق التصويري، وتعد سورة الملك نموذجا واضحا متكاملا في إبراز هذا المعنى. لذا كان مهما أن اختار الكتابة في هذا الموضوع هدفا لبيان أثر البنية الصرفية في تحديد معاني السلطة الإلهية من خلال تحليل الأسماء والأفعال الواردة في سورة الملك الآية 1-5. واعتمد هذا البحث بالمنهج الوصفي التحليلي الذي يجمع بين الوصف التفسيري والتحليل اللغوي. ومن أهم نتائجه هي أن كلمة "الملك" هو اسم مفرد للحالة التي يدل على معنى ملكا لصاحبها، والتعريف فيه يحدد بالملكية المطلقة لله تعالى، فيتضح من ذلك، أن مفهوم السلطة الإلهية يقوم على الملك الحقيقي. ويشتمل معنى السلطة الإلهية من الفعل "خلق"، وهو إكمال صفة القدرة أنه قدير على كل شيء أي القدرة الشاملة. ثم يظهر معنى السلطة الإلهية في الكون من خلال الجمع بين إحكام الخلق، وكمال الزينة، وترسيخ الإيمان بالقدرة الإلهية المطلقة، وأن السلطة الإلهية تشمل الحكمة والتدبير.</p>Diyanah Hanin SabiilaSiti Hapsah

<p>هذا البحث توجه إلى نظر تفسير ابن تيمية لـ (استوى) في سورة طه بمقاصد القرآن عند عبد الكريم الحامدي. ﴿الرَّحْمَٰنُ عَلَى الْعَرْشِ اسْتَوَىٰ﴾ من آيات الصفات المتشابهة. وقد عدَّ بعض أهل العلم ابنَ تيمية من المجسمة في هذا المقام لقوله بأن الله تعالى مستو على العرش حقيقة. ورد في الجامع قول ابن تيمية في تفسير تلك الآية: الله مستو على العرش حقيقة استواء يليق بجلاله والكيف عنه مجهول. الإشكال في كلمة الحقيقة هي المتبادرة إلى الذهن في عرف اللغة، ومعنى الاستواء في عرف اللغة هو الاستقرار أو المماسة، وهو يستلزم التجسيم. وقوله: استواء يليق بجلاله، كأن ابن تيمية يود أن يفر من التجسيم بعد قوله بحقيقة الاستواء، فحصل التناقض في كلامه ولا ينبغي إصداره في مقام التعليم. وورد في منهاج السنة قول صريح بأن الله في جهة الفوق العدمية، وكلمة العدمية بالنسبة للجهة لا فائدة في تنزيه الله عما لا يليق بجلاله. والخلاصة أن ابن تيمية لم يطبق قاعدة المحكم والمتشابه وكيفية التعامل مع المتشابه وهي التفويض أو التأويل، وكل ذلك يؤدي إلى تفسير اعتقادي باطل مخالف لإصلاح الاعتقاد من مقاصد القرآن عند عبد الكريم الحامدي.</p>Ikhwan Marzuqi

<p>This study examines Aksin Wijaya's thoughts on <em>maqā</em><em>ṣidĭ</em> interpretation as a new approach in the study of the Qur'an that emphasizes the search for spiritual-contextual meaning. Although the concept of <em>maqā</em><em>ṣidĭ</em> has been practiced by classical <em>mufassirs</em>, <em>maqā</em><em>ṣidĭ</em> tafsir has only recently developed theoretically. Aksin Wijaya uses a combination of three approaches: tafsir <em>ta</em><em>ḥlilĭ</em> to find textual meaning, tafsir <em>nuzūlĭ</em> and objective hermeneutics to explore context and moral-ideals, and philosophical hermeneutics to find spiritual-contextual meaning. The method used in this paper is library research with descriptive data processing analysis. The result of the research shows the relevance of meaning in the contemporary context. <p><em>The development of digital communication technology has transformed interactions between children and parents, raising the question of how Islamic ethical principles, particularly the concept of qaulan karĭman can be reinterpreted and applied in the context of digital communication. This study examines the meaning of qaulan karĭman in QS. Al-Isra' verse 23 using the maʿna cum maghzā approach, emphasizing understanding of the verse based on its historical meaning (maʿna) and its moral and social significance (maghzā). A qualitative hermeneutic method was employed, with primary data from the Qur'an and classical and contemporary tafsir, and secondary data from literature on digital communication and family ethics. The analysis reveals that qaulan karĭman refers not only to gentle, polite, and respectful speech but also to moral and social objectives, including maintaining parents' dignity, honor, and emotional well-being. The findings indicate that these principles can be applied in digital communication through text messages, chats, or social media, with attention to word choice, timing, emotional expression, and supportive messages. Challenges in digital communication, such as tonal misinterpretation without verbal cues, risks of conflict from delayed messages, and cultural gaps between generations are also discussed. <p>This study is driven by the question of how the rule of repetition of indefinite nouns <em>(isim nakirah)</em> is applied in the interpretation of several Qur’anic verses. It is grounded in the diversity of interpretations found in tafsir literature regarding the use of this rule, as well as the varied understandings of the function of such repetitions. Theoretically, this research positions itself as an evaluation of the applicability and relevance of linguistic principles in interpreting Qur’anic verses. This study employs a qualitative method through library research, examining various primary tafsir sources to identify patterns of acceptance or rejection of this rule. The findings reveal that the application of the repetition of indefinite nouns is interpreted in diverse ways in Qur’anic exegesis. Some exegetes interpret it as emphasis and reinforcement (<em>takrĭr wa ta’kĭd</em>), such as al-Zamakhshar<em>ĭ</em>, Quraish Shihab, and the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs’ Tafsir, while others, such as Ibn Kath<em>ĭ</em>r and al-Suyūṭ<em>ĭ</em>, apply a differentiation of meaning based on the <em>aghlabiyyah</em> principle, although certain scholars like al-Zamakhshar<em>ĭ</em> and Quraish Shihab also employ this principle in other Qur’anic contexts. This diversity of interpretation is evident in the varying meanings attributed to terms such as <em>yusrā</em>, <em>ḍa‘f</em>, <em>quwwah</em>, and <em>a‘mā</em>. This study highlights the importance of a focused examination of the repetition of indefinite nouns by demonstrating the unique variations in the application of linguistic rules among exegetes, thereby raising significant issues regarding the flexibility and dynamic nature of linguistic methodologies in Qur’anic interpretation, a topic that has often been treated only in general terms.</p>Muchammad Akrom

<p>This study examines environmental degradation caused by mining activities in Indonesia and proposes an Islamic ecotheological approach as a solution to balance economic interests with ecosystem sustainability. The aim is to analyze how the concepts of human responsibility and justice within religion can be integrated into sustainable mining governance. The methodology employs a qualitative analysis through the thematic interpretation of Qur’anic verses related to environmental ethics, complemented by socio-ecological case studies in several mining regions. Data were collected from official documents, civil society organization reports, and interviews with relevant stakeholders. The findings reveal that water pollution, deforestation, and social conflicts are tangible consequences of irresponsible mining practices, which are exacerbated by corruption, inadequate oversight, and limited local community participation. The Islamic ecotheological approach emphasizes collective responsibility among corporations, the government, and society in maintaining environmental balance. Its implementation includes transparent policies, strict law enforcement, post-mining land rehabilitation, and ecological education grounded in religious values, along with the active involvement of local communities.
