RELIGIOUS MODERATION IN KAMPOENG PERCIK COMMUNITY

ABSTRACT

The study of religious moderation is pivotal in countering the growing threats of extremism, radicalism, and intolerance that disrupt social cohesion and communal harmony. This research explores the internalization of inclusive religious values as practiced in Kampoeng Percik, a community recognized for its interfaith harmony. Employing a qualitative literature review approach grounded in the sociology of religion, data were gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study reveals three key findings: (1) the implementation of inclusive religious education fostering tolerance and moderation; (2) the practice of justice and fairness in interreligious interactions; and (3) the emergence of a moderate ethos that supports interfaith coexistence. Additionally, the research identifies contemporary challenges posed by digitalization and highlights adaptive strategies undertaken by the Kampoeng Percik community. These findings contribute to the discourse on religious moderation by offering a community-based model of inclusivism that is resilient in the face of socioreligious tension and technological disruption.

Kajian tentang moderasi beragama menjadi hal yang krusial dalam menangkal maraknya ancaman ekstremisme, radikalisme, dan intoleransi yang mengganggu kohesi sosial serta harmoni antar komunitas. Penelitian ini mengkaji internalisasi nilai-nilai keagamaan yang inklusif sebagaimana diterapkan oleh masyarakat Kampoeng Percik, yang dikenal atas keharmonisan antarumat beragama. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan literatur review kualitatif dalam kerangka sosiologi agama, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga temuan utama: (1) penerapan pendidikan agama yang inklusif yang menanamkan nilai moderasi dan toleransi; (2) praktik keadilan dalam interaksi antarumat beragama; dan (3) munculnya etos moderat yang mendorong kehidupan lintas agama yang harmonis. Selain itu, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi tantangan era digitalisasi serta strategi adaptif yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Kampoeng Percik. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap wacana moderasi beragama melalui model komunitas berbasis inklusivisme yang tangguh dalam menghadapi ketegangan sosial-keagamaan dan disrupsi teknologi.

FINANCIAL LITERACY TO ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOLS IN INDONESIA; SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW VOS VIEWER

The rapid development of Islamic finance in Indonesia has not been matched by adequate levels of financial literacy, particularly within Islamic boarding schools, which should serve as vital agents in promoting value-based financial education. As long-standing Islamic educational institutions, Islamic boarding schools have significant potential to support the enhancement of Islamic financial literacy among the Muslim community. This study aims to analyze the development of Islamic financial literacy research within Islamic boarding schools using a systematic literature review (SLR) approach. By mapping trends, central topics, and knowledge gaps, the research offers strategic directions for advancing financial education and policy formulation in Islamic boarding school settings. This research employs a systematic literature review method supported by bibliometric analysis using VOSviewer. Data were collected from scholarly articles published between 2014 and 2024 in indexed academic databases, such as Google Scholar, using the Publish or Perish (PoP) application. The data analysis includes keyword mapping, publication trend identification, author collaboration patterns, and qualitative thematic analysis. The findings reveal a significant increase in Islamic financial literacy research in Islamic boarding schools over the last three years, mainly focusing on basic practices such as saving and understanding fundamental Islamic finance principles. However, researcher collaboration remains limited, and the integration of financial literacy into Islamic boarding school curricula is still underdeveloped. The study recommends policy support for the adoption of digital Islamic finance and the strengthening of academic networks to empower Islamic boarding schools as strategic centers for Islamic financial education and community economic empowerment.

PRACTICES OF RELIGIOUS MODERATION AMONG MADURESE MIGRANTS IN BALI

ABSTRACT

Harmony between religious communities is the main foundation for the application of religious moderation in the midst of a multicultural society in order to be able to display a peaceful and harmonious life. The Madurese people who migrated to Bali seem to be able to adapt to the people in Bali who are Hindu and Buddhist. Even though the people of Madura are famous for being fanatical about Islam. This study aims to analyze the religious moderation attitude of Madurese migrants in Bali. This study uses a qualitative approach. The data was obtained from the results of field observations, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques carried out in this study are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawn. The results of the study show that the attitude of religious moderation of Madurese migrants in Bali is manifested by the attitude of tolerance between fellow believers of Islam in Bali as well as between followers of Islam and Hinduism in Bali which can be seen during the celebration of Indonesian Independence Day and the implementation of traditional ceremonies in Bali. The role of Muslim leaders in maintaining the attitude of religious moderation of Madurese Nomads in Bali as mediators and facilitators in interfaith dialogue activities in Bali. The results of this study have significant implications for the development of Islamic Studies studies, especially in the context of Nusantara Islam, religious moderation, and religious relations with local culture.

ABSTRAK

Kerukunan antar umat beragama merupakan landasan pokok pada penerapan moderasi beragama di tengah masyarakat yang multikultural agar mampu menampilkan kehidupan yang damai dan harmonis. Masyarakat Madura yang merantau di Bali nampaknya mampu beradaptasi dengan masyarakat di Bali yang beragama Hindu dan budha. Padahal masyarakat Madura terkenal fanatik dengan agama Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sikap moderasi beragama perantau Madura di Bali. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data-data diperoleh dari hasil observasi lapangan, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan Kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sikap moderasi beragama perantau Madura di Bali diwujudkan dengan sikap toleransi antar sesama pemeluk agama Islam di Bali maupun antar pemeluk agama Islam dan Hindu di Bali yang dapat dilihat pada saat perayaan Hari Kemerdekaan RI dan pelaksanaan upacara adat di Bali. Peran tokoh muslim dalam menjaga sikap moderasi beragama Perantau Madura di Bali sebagai mediator dan fasilitator dalam kegiatan dialog antar agama di Bali. Hasil penelitian ini memiliki implikasi signifikan terhadap pengembangan kajian Studi Islam, khususnya dalam konteks Islam Nusantara, moderasi beragama, dan relasi agama dengan budaya lokal.

THE IMPACT OF DIGITALIZATION ON INTEREST IN SHARIA INVESTMENT AMONG THE YOUNGER GENERATION

ABSTRACT

This study aims to analyze the impact of digitalization on the interest in sharia investment among the younger generation and to gain an in-depth understanding of the experiences, views, and motivations of the younger generation regarding sharia investment in the digital era. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews with a number of informants selected using purposive sampling, namely young people who are or have been interested in Islamic investment through digital platforms. In addition to interviews, data was also collected through observation of the use of Islamic investment applications and analysis of documentation from social media and related digital platforms. Data analysis was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach with a thematic approach. The results obtained show that the digitization of the Islamic economy in Indonesia has had a major impact on how the younger generation interacts with the financial system. The ease of access, transparency, and security offered by digital platforms make Islamic investment and financing more attractive and accessible to young people. However, more in-depth education about Islamic principles in the digital economy is essential to avoid misuse or mistakes in choosing products. In practical terms, the findings of this study provide insights to Islamic finance industry players, regulators, and financial technology (fintech) developers to pay more attention to the needs and characteristics of the younger generation as a potential target market.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganaisis dampak digitalisasi terhadap minat investasi syariah di kalangan generasi muda dan untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang mendalam terkait pengalaman, pandangan, dan motivasi generasi muda terhadap investasi syariah di era digital. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam (in depth interview) dengan sejumlah informan yang dipilih secara purposive sampling, yaitu generasi muda yang telah atau sedang tertarik dengan investasi syariah melalui platform digital. Selain wawancara, data juga dikumpulkan melalui observasi terhadap penggunaan aplikasi investasi syariah serta analisis dokumentasi dari media sosial dan platform digital yang berkaitan. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan tematik. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu, Digitalisasi ekonomi syariah di Indonesia telah membawa dampak besar terhadap caragenerasi muda berinteraksi dengan sistem keuangan. Kemudahan akses, transparansi, serta keamanan yang ditawarkan oleh platform-platform digital membuat investasi dan pembiayaan syariah lebih menarik dan mudah diakses oleh kalangan muda. Meskipun demikian, edukasi yang lebih mendalam tentang prinsip-prinsip syariah dalam ekonomi digital sangat penting untuk menghindari penyalahgunaan atau kesalahan dalam memilih produk. Secara praktis, temuan penelitian ini memberikan wawasan kepada pelaku industri keuangan syariah, regulator, dan pengembang teknologi finansial (fintech) untuk lebih memperhatikan kebutuhan serta karakteristik generasi muda sebagai target pasar potensial.
