https://ejournal.uinmadura.ac.id/index.php/entita/article/view/18932

This study investigates the role of digital education in promoting social sustainability, cultural preservation, and equitable access to knowledge in the context of primary education. The research focuses on an Islamic primary school in East Java, Indonesia, which actively implements digital transformation through adaptive learning technologies, collaborative platforms, and digital humanities integration. The study aims to understand how these digital tools align with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in fostering inclusion and environmental responsibility. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, and direct classroom observations involving 16 participants, including school leaders, teachers, parents, and program facilitators. The findings reveal that the integration of post digital aesthetics and sustainability initiatives supports inclusive and ethical educational practices, while also challenging deterministic views of technology. The study emphasizes that digital transformation in education must be culturally contextualized and ethically guided to ensure long-term impact. Future research is recommended to explore scalable models across diverse educational settings.
Tuhfatul Mubarokah AssalamahIntan Fitri Hilza

https://ejournal.uinmadura.ac.id/index.php/entita/article/view/18397

The conflict between humans and elephants in Indonesia continues to escalate due to land expansion and forest encroachment, forcing elephants to enter settlements and agricultural areas. This phenomenon has gained widespread attention, particularly through news coverage and social media. This study examines how social media, particularly Instagram, shapes public perceptions of elephants, specifically in Tesso Nilo National Park. Using a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach and virtual ethnography, this research explores the representation of elephants as "celebrities" shaped by Mahouts (elephant handlers) through their social media posts. The findings reveal that Instagram plays a role in creating two types of perceptions: physical reality and imagery. Physical reality perceives elephants as animals that need to be cared for, fed, monitored, and trained, while the imagery constructed through social media portrays elephants as individuals with unique personalities, attracting public attention and sympathy. Some elephants, such as Domang, Tari, and Harmoni, have gained "celebrity" status due to their interactions with Mahouts, which are shared on social media, fostering emotional connections between Instagram followers and these elephants. However, this phenomenon also raises ethical discussions regarding the treatment of elephants, such as the use of chains and Mahout communication tools. This study highlights that social media can be an effective tool for conservation by raising public awareness but also opens up debates and criticisms regarding the ethics of wildlife treatment.
Basyarul AzizAzlin ResianaKhoirun Nisa Aulia Sukmani

https://ejournal.uinmadura.ac.id/index.php/entita/article/view/18411

Ega NasywaRusdi Effendi Wisnu SubrotoFitri MardianiDewicca Fatma NadillaRochgiyanti

https://ejournal.uinmadura.ac.id/index.php/entita/article/view/18977

Local traditions that persist amid changing times reflect deep social meanings embedded in cultural practices. One such tradition is Sewu Sempol, a grave-offering ritual carried out by the people of Hamlet Masin, Kandangmas Village, Kudus, every last Thursday of the month of Ruwah (Sya'ban). This study aims to describe the implementation of the tradition and analyze it using Max Weber’s theory of social action. The research method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data reduction, presentation of findings, and drawing conclusions. Data were collected through direct observation, in-depth interviews with community leaders and local residents, as well as visual documentation. Data sources were obtained from active participants in the tradition and relevant literature. The findings show that people carry out this tradition as traditional action, since it is inherited through generations; as goal-oriented action, in hope of safety and blessings; as value-oriented action, because it is considered morally and spiritually noble; and as affective action, driven by emotions of gratitude and reverence for ancestors. These four types of social action form a complex social meaning behind the preservation of the Sewu Sempol tradition within the community.
Karina Puji LestariDany Miftah M. NurAbdul Karim

https://ejournal.uinmadura.ac.id/index.php/entita/article/view/16937

This research discusses consumptive behaviour among teenagers, especially university students, which is influenced by lifestyle, financial literacy, and gender factors. Consumptive behaviour arises as a result of social pressure, a culture of consumerism, and the urge to follow trends. Financial literacy is an important key in reducing this behaviour, by providing an understanding of effective financial management. The study used a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) and Multi-Group Analysis (MGA) methods, involving 86 social studies education students in Malang who were selected through random sampling techniques. The results of the analysis show that financial literacy has a significant influence in reducing consumptive behaviour, with variations in influence based on gender. This study highlights the importance of financial literacy and inclusive financial education to support better financial management among university students.
Muchammad Akbar KurniawanWiwit Nahdiyah SafitriAngeli Carissa SariAlfin Mustikawan

https://ejournal.uinmadura.ac.id/index.php/entita/article/view/19201

This study aims to analyze the dynamics of the inner child experienced by Mandailing students and its impact on their social life in the State Islamic University of North Sumatra. The background of this study is based on the importance of understanding unresolved childhood wounds (inner child), especially in the context of Mandailing culture which is known to have a strong, hierarchical, and thick parenting pattern with traditional values. The approach used in this study is qualitative with a case study method. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of several Mandailing student informants who were selected purposively. The results of the study indicate that childhood experiences related to emotional stress, authoritarian parenting patterns, and social expectations from families and traditional communities have a significant impact on students' social relationships on campus. Some of them have difficulty expressing emotions, building healthy interpersonal relationships, and a tendency to suppress inner conflicts. However, there are also forms of resilience that emerge, such as the drive to be independent and academic success as a form of compensation. This study concludes that the dynamics of the inner child in the context of Mandailing culture have a complex influence on the social life of students, which requires a psychosocial approach that is sensitive to cultural values and personal experiences
Dina Mardiana SiagianNuriza Dora
