The family is the primary environment for the development of relationships, roles, and individual functioning. Imbalances in family structure, unclear boundaries, hierarchy, and maladaptive interaction patterns may interfere with family functioning. This study aims to examine the application of Structural Family Counseling in restoring the roles and functions of family members and to identify the aspects of family structure addressed through the intervention. This study employed a library research method with a descriptive-qualitative approach. The literature was obtained from Google Scholar, PubMed, Garuda, and relevant scientific journal websites using keywords related to Structural Family Counseling, Structural Family Therapy, family functioning, family roles, and family structure. A total of 10 relevant scientific articles were analyzed through identification, selection, comparison, and synthesis of their contents. The findings indicate that Structural Family Counseling contributes to improving family structure through the restructuring of subsystems, boundaries, hierarchy, roles, and interaction patterns among family members. The approach also contributes to improving family functioning, communication, role distribution, and the family's ability to cope with various problems. Therefore, Structural Family Counseling can be considered a relevant approach to help families develop more adaptive structures and relationships.
